How we Keep it Simple

OUR COMPANY

Petersons Quarry, which is owned by Richmond Valley Council but operated by KIS Plant Pty Ltd t/a KIS Quarries, has been supplying quarry materials to the local region for both road construction and private sale since 1916.

Resource investigations have confirmed that the Petersons Quarry site contains unweathered, high quality basalt suitable for the supply of the construction and road base materials.

We are able to provide a wide range of products sourced from high quality basalt rock including roadbase, aggregates, rock products and other quarry products. Further products include E2 drainage blanket (90mm-200mm), E5 drainage blanket (40mm-90mm) and Scour rock.

OUR DIRECTORS

Peter Roberts

Peter’s professional experience as a qualified Civil Engineer covers management and technical positions in the Quarrying, Civil and Mining sectors. His career spans across companies including Leighton Contractors, John Holland, Xstrata and Goldings.
 
Peter has most recently held the role of General Manager for two Drilling and Blasting Companies and has been successful in the growth and development of these businesses through his strong focus on business strategy, customer relations and by motivating and empowering teams to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Peter is an experienced and respected shot firer, his technical ability has led to the successful and safe delivery of blasting and material processing across Quarries, Mines and Civil Infrastructure Projects. 
 
Peter has a strong focus on ensuring positive relationships are formed and sustained with our clients by providing innovative solutions and rewarding results for their business.

Brian Turner

Brian Turner, Director and co-founder of SEE Civil and Quarry Solutions has over 40 years in the Quarry and Civil industry.

Brian’s legacy has been his impact within the quarry fraternity in providing diverse specialist purpose built quarry plant to maximise material yields and production on a grand scale.

Brian’s most recent notable projects include Woodburn Quarry which has been producing up to 7,000 tonne/day of aggregates, pavement materials and various graded rock products.

Sally Engel

Sally joined KIS Plant as an Accountant in 2020.

She has more than 20 years’ experience including finance experience across multiple industries and has worked in Asia, the UK, Europe and Australia.

Sally holds a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University and has previously been a Chartered Accountant.”

OUR STAFF

Rhys O’Brien

Rhys has been employed in quarrying operations since 2015 and has previously worked at Holcim, Boral and Milbrae Warburn quarries. He holds a Certificate IV in Surface Extractions Operations and has a Diploma in Surface Operations Management. He is an active member of the Institute of Quarrying Australia. Rhys is focused on producing the highest quality materials, continued quarry improvements and forming great relationships with customers.



Quarry Manager

Ellee Storer

Ellee commenced with KIS in 2021 and is currently studying her Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping. Ellee is the efficient, friendly, customer- focused presence at the Weighbridge.
